Dongbanwi and Ulsan Hold Joint Innovation Growth Tour
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] The Win-Win Growth Committee jointly held an innovation growth tour with Ulsan Metropolitan City.
From the 18th to the 20th of this month, the Win-Win Growth Committee held events in Ulsan attended by 103 large corporations and 135 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including ▲ Win-Win Growth MOU for Innovation-Driven Growth between the Committee and Ulsan City ▲ Win-Win Growth Roundtable (online) ▲ Innovation Technology Purchase Consultation (online).
The main contents of the MOU signed between the Win-Win Growth Committee and Ulsan City include mutual cooperation for discovering R&D projects to develop sales channels and strengthen technological competitiveness of small and venture companies, establishing a foundation for fostering a technology innovation-led materials and parts industry, and supporting and expanding the spread of win-win smart factories.
At the video conference held on the 18th at the Ulsan Global Startup Hub (U-hub), Chairman Kwon Ki-hong of the Win-Win Growth Committee and Jo Won-kyung, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Ulsan City, along with the President of the Ulsan Small and Medium Business Association, the President of the Ulsan branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, executives from Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Lotte Chemical, and CEOs of Yangsu Metal, Giant Chemical, and Proxy Healthcare attended remotely. They discussed topics such as “Ways to create a collaborative ecosystem between large and small and medium enterprises in response to changes in the industrial paradigm.”
The online innovation technology purchase consultation involved 103 large corporations (including public institutions) such as Samsung, Hyundai Motor, SK, LG, Lotte, POSCO, Hanwha, GS, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Shinsegae, KT, CJ, and Doosan, and 135 SMEs, conducting a total of 457 technology and purchase consultations.
The consultations were conducted entirely online through 1:1 video meetings arranged via prior matching, and after the consultation, the Win-Win Growth Committee and Ulsan City plan to continuously support additional 1:1 consultations and online purchase consultations upon requests from SMEs to achieve practical outcomes.
