'Cut Off' Im Sung-jae "Did I Overdo It? ... Streb Leader"
RSM Classic Day 2: Slight Dip at 1 Under Par "First Cut Off of 2021 Season", Streb "9 Under Par Storming Shots"
[Asia Economy Kim Hyun-jun, Golf Specialist Reporter] "Did I push too hard?"
Im Sung-jae (22, CJ Logistics, photo) faced his first 'cut off' of the new season. On the 21st (Korean time), at the Seaside Course (par 70, 7,005 yards) of Sea Island Resort in Georgia, USA, during the second round of the PGA Tour RSM Classic (total prize money $6.6 million), he struggled with a 1-under-par following an even-par round the day before, failing to advance to the third round. This was especially surprising given his 'runner-up achievement' at the Masters which ended on the 16th. He faced difficulties as his iron shots faltered.
Robert Streb (USA) surged with a 9-under-par at the Plantation Course (par 72, 7,060 yards), jumping to a 2-stroke lead (14-under-par 128 strokes). He is the player who won the McGladrey Classic in October 2014, part of the 2014/2015 season. He is approaching his first victory in six years. That day, he collected nine birdies. His green hit rate of 94.44% and his 'pinpoint iron shots' stood out, complemented by an average of 1.53 putts per hole with 'stingy putting.'

The tournament alternated between the Seaside Course and the Plantation Course for the first and second rounds, then returned to the Seaside Course for the third and fourth rounds.
