[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Hyundai Heavy Industries Group carried out executive personnel changes on the 19th. In this personnel announcement, Hyundai Heavy Industries Group retained the current management team and announced promotions including 4 to vice presidents, as well as newly appointed executives. Four people, including Executive Director Kim Jae-eul, were promoted to vice president; 18 people, including Managing Director Ahn Oh-min, were promoted to executive director; and 48 people, including Deputy Managing Director Choi Seung-hyun, were promoted to managing director. Along with this, 45 people, including Manager Ha Jeom-su, were newly appointed as deputy managing directors.

A Hyundai Heavy Industries official stated, "This personnel change reflects the intention to empower the existing management team to ensure continuity of work while all employees are striving to overcome the crisis caused by COVID-19, and to focus all management capabilities to wisely overcome the crisis going forward."

He added, "Through this personnel change, the management plan for 2021-2022 will be finalized early, specific detailed action plans will be prepared and immediately implemented, and proactive management improvement activities will be undertaken."
