Damyang-gun Hosts 'Public Officials Capacity Building Workshop'
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 19th that it held a 'Civil Servant Capacity Building Workshop' for two days starting from the 17th for new public officials with less than five years of service to develop creative abilities and strengthen capabilities to respond to public contest projects.
Considering the recent spread of the COVID-19 infectious disease, the county conducted the workshop at Duri Farm located in Subuk-myeon on a non-overnight schedule.
On the first day, training on creative ability development techniques to express individual creativity was conducted, and on the second day, education on understanding local resources and writing competitive project proposals aligned with government contest project trends was provided.
A county official said, "Since this training was mainly conducted for new public officials, we focused on providing interest and enhancing understanding of public contest projects," adding, "We will continue to nurture specialized personnel for public contest projects through annual training and effectively respond to projects aimed at sustainable regional development."

Meanwhile, as of last month, the county has applied for 64 public contest projects, securing 50 projects and approximately 56 billion won in project funds, thereby securing momentum for regional development through public contest projects.
