Grand InterContinental Launches 'Online Travel Package - UK Edition' to Celebrate December Reopening
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong announced on the 19th that it will launch the ‘Online World Travel Package ? UK Edition,’ allowing guests to experience the UK from their rooms, to commemorate its reopening on December 1st.
The new deluxe rooms, completed with the participation of the UK interior design group ‘1508 London,’ offer an immersive UK online tour with a professional guide through real-time communication, a special in-flight meal prepared by the hotel chef, and a specially made travel pass, providing an experiential product that feels like traveling to the UK.
Upon package check-in, guests receive a travel welcome pass consisting of a product guide in the form of a passport and boarding pass, along with stickers. On the day of check-in, guests can enjoy an online tour in their rooms featuring UK art museums or museums, and Premier League football content. The online tour is a new concept live travel experience using online video technology, conducted by a high-level guide as if actually traveling in the UK.
In the evening, the hotel chef delivers the specially prepared in-flight meal to the room. The package also includes an amenity set from Jo Malone, the representative British perfume brand, which was previously only provided in club-level rooms or higher, and two vouchers for ‘Art Pale Ale,’ the hotel’s signature craft beer available at the first-floor lobby lounge & bar.
Additionally, an audio experience opportunity with ‘Ruark,’ a British high-end audio brand with over 30 years of history, will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 10 rooms per day. All guests can use the indoor swimming pool and fitness center, and the trees and splendid lighting decorations throughout the lobby lounge and hotel create the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the year-end mood.
This package will be available on Fridays and Saturdays from December 4th to February 27th of next year, based on check-in dates. The price is 315,000 KRW, with a 15,000 KRW discount offered for advance reservations made by November 30th.

Meanwhile, Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is scheduled to reopen as a lifestyle hotel on December 1st after 11 months of remodeling. Following the remodeling of the first-floor lobby, restaurants, and grand ballroom in January 2014, the hotel exterior and all guest rooms from the 7th to the 33rd floor have been renovated.
