View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Shanghai Office participated in the '2020 China International Travel Mart (Chinta International Travel Mart)' held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from the 16th to the 18th, introducing 'Wellness Gyeongsangnam-do' and capturing the attention of Chinese visitors.
Co-hosted by the China National Tourism Administration, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, this event featured over 1,500 organizations from more than 50 overseas countries including Spain, France, Japan, Thailand, and Korea, as well as 31 provinces of China, national museums, art galleries, and cultural travel-related companies.
The Gyeongsangnam-do Shanghai Office set up a Gyeongnam space in the Korea Pavilion operated by the Korea Tourism Organization Shanghai Branch, focusing on promoting wellness tourism products in western Gyeongnam to Chinese visitors under the theme of 'Safe Gyeongnam, Healthy Gyeongnam, Wellness Gyeongnam.' These included the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Expo, Sancheong Donguibogam Village, and famous temples in the province offering temple stay programs.

Yoo Jeong-sil, head of the Shanghai Office, said, "Wellness Gyeongnam tourism products, which are safe and healthy for Chinese people exhausted by COVID-19, were very popular among both general visitors and travel agency officials," adding, "We plan to discuss product development through individual meetings with travel agencies interested in our products in the future."
