[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT has developed the 'AI One Team Corporate Practical Analysis Course' to train domestic artificial intelligence (AI) personnel.

According to KT on the 18th, AI One Team created the 'AI One Team Corporate Practical Analysis Course' after about six months of preparation. The purpose is to nurture advanced AI talent in Korea and expand the AI market base. AI One Team is an industry-academia-research collaboration led by KT to strengthen domestic AI capabilities. Nine organizations are participating, including KT, Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, LG Electronics, LG Uplus, Korea Investment & Securities, Dongwon Group, KAIST, Hanyang University, and ETRI.

The biggest feature of the newly established AI One Team Corporate Practical Analysis Course is its focus on practical work. KT explained that it was developed based on actual AI application cases and data to maximize the effectiveness of hands-on training. To facilitate effective practice, KT's AI analysis platform is also utilized. An AI One Team secretariat official stated, "One of the biggest challenges companies face in promoting AI and digital transformation (DX) is the lack of practical AI personnel," adding, "Through the One Team's AI education course, practical AI talent can be cultivated."

This training course includes a curriculum component for discovering tasks tailored to each company's characteristics. Trainees are required to derive how AI can be integrated into actual work based on their technical understanding and practical experience with AI.

AI One Team has also been conducting activities to raise awareness and expand the base of AI among the general public this year, such as 'AI Study Week' and 'AI One Team Recommended Book Introductions.' A KT official said, "AI One Team does not intend to limit its AI talent development platform activities to companies," adding, "From a long-term perspective, we will continue to provide AI programs not only to companies but also to the general public for future AI talent development."
