Gwangjin-gu Holds '50+ Policy Performance Sharing Meeting'
Sharing Policy Achievements and Cases Over the Past Two Years... Discussing Future Directions
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seongap) held the "50+ Policy Achievement Sharing Meeting," which gathered 50+ policies in one place, on the 17th at the district office's planning situation room.
This sharing meeting was organized to review the achievements of Gwangjin-gu's 50+ policies over the past two years and to exchange opinions on future policy directions.
The event began with an opening performance attended by members of the 50+ Generation Second Act Committee and policy participants, followed by presentations on the 50+ policy achievements and case studies from three participants.
Additionally, a "Suggestion Box" was placed at the venue to collect participants' opinions on the district's 50+ policies, facilitating discussions and deliberations on future plans.
Meanwhile, the district has been providing integrated support centered on the "50+ Counseling Center," opened in January last year, offering counseling, information, job opportunities, and business connections to help the 50+ generation prepare for a new phase of life.
Furthermore, various programs supporting the social and economic activities of the 50+ generation are being operated, including the "Second Act Support Program," which offers education related to employment and entrepreneurship as well as cultural and leisure programs; the "Youth Generation Integration Education," conducted together with young people; and the "Community Activity Support Project," which supports club activities for the 50+ generation.
Also, by attracting the "50+ East Campus," scheduled to begin construction in 2021, comprehensive policies such as education, cultural and leisure activities, and job support for the 50+ generation will be gathered in one place, promoting policies tailored to the characteristics of Gwangjin-gu.

District Mayor Kim Seongap stated, "We are systematically supporting the 50+ generation, the backbone of our society, so they can confidently prepare for the latter half of their lives," adding, "Based on the opinions shared by the 50+ generation at this achievement sharing meeting, we will promote a more substantial Gwangjin-type 50+ policy."
