A Fairy Tale of Love, Art, and War Told by Three Clowns, Play 'Hwansangdonghwa' Opens in December
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The play "Fantasy Fairy Tale" will open on December 20 at the Cotton Hall in the Performing Arts Center of Dongduk Women's University.
"Fantasy Fairy Tale" is a play about three clowns who each claim to be a god: the Love Clown, the Art Clown, and the War Clown. They want to tell stories related to love, art, and war, but end up sharing a fairy tale-like story of Hans and Mari that encompasses all three themes. The play offers a unique spectacle through various performances including dance, music, mime, and magic.
"Fantasy Fairy Tale" is director Kim Dong-yeon's debut work and was first performed at the 2013 Byunbang Theater Festival. Last December, it was staged again after six years, performing about 80 shows over two months.
