ADT Caps Provides Self-Defense Training for Namyangju Fire Station Paramedics
First Implementation Since Last January Due to COVID-19... Professional Security Team Resumes Social Contribution Activities
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Security specialist company ADT Caps (CEO Park Jin-hyo) announced on the 16th that it conducted a 'Self-defense Lecture to Enhance Response Capability to Assault Incidents' for paramedics at Namyangju Fire Station.
The self-defense lecture is a social contribution activity that the ADT Caps professional security team has been steadily conducting for over 10 years to ensure the safety of crime-vulnerable groups. It was held for the first time since January due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). This lecture was conducted in strict compliance with quarantine rules such as prior temperature checks and wearing masks. In addition, to ensure that all 80 paramedics at Namyangju Fire Station could receive training in a safe environment, the lecture was provided in two sessions on the 16th and 23rd, divided into groups of 40 people.

Lee Yong-joo, head of the ADT Caps security team, said, "119 paramedics often face sudden verbal and physical assaults in unexpected situations, and it is more important to protect oneself rather than subdue the opponent at such times." He added, "We hope that the self-defense lecture tailored to the nature of paramedics' work will be helpful in actual emergency situations, and ADT Caps will continue to carry out social contribution activities for crime-vulnerable groups."
