Gwangju Office of Education Operates Special Quarantine Management Period Until CSAT Day
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced that from the 16th until the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) day on the 3rd of next month, it will operate a special quarantine management period for faculty members and examinees for 18 days to conduct this year’s CSAT safely and stably.
The Office of Education recognized the serious situation due to recent cases of self-quarantine measures caused by close contact with confirmed cases among high school senior teachers and the increasing trend of confirmed cases in the Gwangju area, urging faculty members to engage in quarantine management until the CSAT day.
In particular, it requested that individuals refrain from personal outdoor activities (gatherings, hobbies, clubs, etc.) to avoid exposure to COVID-19 infection risk and convert various on- and off-campus group events to non-face-to-face formats (broadcast, online, etc.).
Furthermore, students and faculty members are required to participate in health status self-diagnosis, comply with personal quarantine rules, and continuously conduct COVID-19 infection prevention education.
The Office of Education will prepare five separate testing rooms for symptomatic individuals at each general test site (38 schools) and operate separate test sites (2 schools) for those in self-quarantine.
Additionally, two testing rooms (for 4 people each) will be installed at Nam-gu Bitgoeul Chonnam National University Hospital, a hospital test site for confirmed cases. A field management team linked with local government-related organizations will be operated to manage examinees from the notification stage of confirmed and self-quarantined individuals.
