Gwangju Bank Holds Orientation Ceremony for New Employees
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 16th that it held an entrance ceremony at its headquarters ahead of the training for new employees hired in the second half of 2020.
The 35 new employees who were finally selected through procedures including document screening, written tests (NCS, general knowledge), and interviews, starting from the application submission on September 14, will enter the training course from that day until the 31st of next month.
During the seven-week training, the new employees will acquire the qualifications of bank clerks through job training such as CS education, basic competency education, computer practice, and on-site training at branches.

Gwangju Bank contributes to alleviating regional employment difficulties by allocating more than 80% of the total number of new hires each year to candidates from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. This year, 28 out of the total 35 new employees were selected from the local area. Additionally, by recruiting junior clerks targeting those who have graduated (or are expected to graduate) from high school or higher, the bank expanded employment opportunities for local talent.
