Naejangsan National Park Baegam Office, Partial Trail Closures During Autumn Wildfire Prevention Period
Check Open Sections of Trails Before Hiking
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Baegamsa Office of Naejangsan National Park under the Korea National Park Service announced on the 13th that some trails will be closed from the 16th of this month to the 15th of next month to prevent forest fires during the fall of 2020.
The closed sections are ▲ Ggachibong Ridge Three-way Intersection to Sunchang Saejae (2.6km) ▲ Jangseong Saejae to Sangwangbong (4.0km) ▲ Guamsa to Baekhakbong Ridge (0.9km), while the remaining trails will be open as usual.
The Korea National Park Service plans to deploy forest fire monitoring personnel during this period and will intensify crackdowns on smoking, cooking, possession of flammable materials, and other activities. They will also strengthen patrols of fire-prone areas using drones and other firefighting equipment.
