The ecological programs are designed as observation and experience programs for infants, elementary students, and families to provide unique experiences at Hangang Park, a resting place for ten million citizens and a treasure trove of urban ecosystems. Depending on the characteristics of each park, the programs are themed around ▲Observation (feeling seasonal changes through natural scenery, etc.) ▲Environment (wildlife rescue, invasive plant management, etc.) ▲Experience and Crafts (making items using natural materials, etc.).
Currently, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, only outdoor programs are being conducted with limits on the number of participants and adherence to quarantine guidelines. In November, 45 types of programs will be operated at 10 locations.
Various programs are available, such as "Making Family Memories in the Reed Field (Amsa Ecological Park)," where participants learn how to distinguish between silver grass and reeds; "Silver Grass and Eco Chopsticks (Godeok Waterside Ecological Park)," where participants make eco-friendly silver grass chopsticks; and "Autumn Light Forest Art Museum (Ttukseom Hangang Park)," where participants create autumn flower bouquets using sukreong, foxtail grass, silver grass, and take a walk in the cypress healing forest.
Healing programs are also offered, including "COVID Blue Healing Reading Walk," which comforts tired minds in urban nature, and "COVID Far Away, Nature Close Meditation Walk," which combines meditation and ecological exploration.
