Namwon-si Hosts Social Economy Expo
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] The 2020 Namwon-si Social Economy Expo, where social economy enterprises in Namwon-si, Jeonbuk, gathered in one place, was held.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, the expo was held at Namwon Kensington Resort exclusively for company representatives. A total of 27 companies, including social enterprises, preliminary social enterprises, village enterprises, and social cooperatives in Namwon-si, which prioritize job creation for vulnerable groups and revitalization of the local community, participated.
This social economy expo, held for the first time in Namwon-si, was prepared as a program that actively reflects the voices of social economy entrepreneurs to confirm the current status of social economy enterprises in the area and to promote social economy that realizes people-centered values rather than profit.
At the expo exhibition hall, the activities of Namwon-si social enterprises were displayed, and a separate promotional hall introducing products and services was operated.

By practicing community and sharing, social economy enterprises have become a strong support for vulnerable groups. We will actively support the activities of social economy enterprises and strive to secure budgets so that more support can be provided in 2021.”
