Hwasun-gun Selected as Top Policy for 'Generation Solidarity Complex Center Construction'
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] The “Hwasun-gun Intergenerational Solidarity Complex Center Construction” project, promoted by Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon), has been selected as the most innovative policy among this year’s county policies.
According to the county on the 12th, on the 10th, the county selected four excellent cases of innovation in county administration this year through an internal review and a public online vote.
The Intergenerational Solidarity Complex Center Construction received the highest number of votes, 340, in the public online voting on the National Idea Box, which had about 600 participants until the 6th, and was finally selected as the best case based on the combined score of the first internal review.
The Intergenerational Solidarity Complex Center, which will be used as a hub space encompassing all generations, is a building that integrates welfare facilities and resident convenience facilities into one.
By integrating these into a single space rather than creating separate spaces, costs related to land acquisition and site development, which would have increased, were reduced, and the unification of public services improved convenience for residents, earning high scores.
The second place was awarded to the “1,000-won bus operation,” which runs throughout Hwasun. The 1,000-won bus operation, implemented since last month, unified the bus fares, which previously varied by section, to a flat rate of 1,000 won, significantly reducing transportation costs for bus users, receiving positive evaluations.
In addition to the 1,000-won bus operation, the county is making great efforts to improve transportation welfare for rural residents by expanding the eligibility for the “100-won filial piety taxi” to include pregnant women, basic livelihood security recipients, and multicultural families.
Next year, the county plans to rename the disabled call taxi as the “Special Transportation for the Transportation Vulnerable” and expand its user base.
The third place was awarded to the non-face-to-face online education “Home Cooking and Cooking Education,” which utilizes local agricultural and specialty products, and the fourth place was awarded to the “National Immunotherapy Platform Construction Project,” which was attracted through collaboration with Jeollanam-do and Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital.
To select these excellent cases of county administration innovation, the county evaluated 17 excellent cases submitted by each department, selected eight in the first round, and conducted a second round of public online voting on the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission’s “National Idea Box.”
