Selected Recommended Book Reflecting 'Process Legitimacy': The Conditions of a Just Market
Conducted via YouTube for Over 200 Employees Including Promotees
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Bank announced on the 12th that it held a book concert on the theme of the book "The Conditions of a Just Market" via YouTube for about 200 employees, including those promoted in the second half of the year.
The event was conducted in a dialogue format, with Seo Jeonghee, CEO of Maeil Business Newspaper Publishing, hosting the session on the theme of "The Conditions of a Just Market," written by Japanese economist Morita Kenji, and Kim Haksoo, President of the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute, participating as a panelist.
"The Conditions of a Just Market" tells the story of the "morality that supports the economy," the correct operating principle of market economy by Japanese thinker Ishida Baigan, known as the Adam Smith of the East and the Peter Drucker of the Edo period. The book was selected as the recommended reading for this book concert as it well reflects Shinhan Bank CEO Jin Okdong's initiatives of "Growing Together with Customers" and "Legitimacy of Process."
During the book concert, based on the book's content that the environment of proper commercial activities and the efforts of moral economic agents pursuing just profits create a symbiotic economy and generate sustainable wealth, a Q&A session with the panelists followed.
