Joo Ho-young: "Chu Mi-ae Keeps Pushing Yoon Seok-yeol into Politics"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 12th, "If Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae does not touch Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, please endure for just one more month to see what happens."
At the emergency committee meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Floor Leader Joo said, "(Minister Choo) keeps pushing someone who said they would not engage in politics and only perform prosecutorial duties into politics," adding, "The relationship between Minister Choo and Prosecutor General Yoon is truly ambiguous. It is hard to tell whether they are enemies or comrades."
Floor Leader Joo said, "The two public officials highly praised by the Democratic Party of Korea, Prosecutor General Yoon and Board of Audit and Inspection Chairman Choi Jae-hyung, seem to be holding South Korea together through difficult times," adding, "If it were not for these two, the public service and legal order in South Korea would have completely collapsed, but thanks to their efforts, it is at least being maintained."
Regarding the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine, Floor Leader Joo said, "Even if the vaccine is released for sale within this year, it will be difficult for us to obtain it," and criticized, "The People Power Party has repeatedly emphasized measures to secure vaccines, but at that time, it was ignored, while major countries all made advance purchases, leaving us with difficulty in procurement."
