Up to 90,000 KRW Discount for 3 Months Upon Meeting Previous Month's Spending Requirements
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] BC Card announced on the 10th that it has launched a benefits platform called 'My Select,' where customers can directly choose and subscribe to the benefits they need, along with two mobile-only cards called 'Be Digital.'
BC Card members can select up to two desired benefits from eight concept categories?shopping, dining & delivery, digital, travel & culture, etc.?through the My Select platform within the company's comprehensive financial platform Paybook application (app) and load them onto their BC credit cards. The selected benefits can be applied by paying a subscription fee of 1,900 to 3,900 KRW every three months.
My Select provides an additional billing discount benefit of up to 90,000 KRW over three months (up to 15,000 KRW per month per benefit, when selecting two benefits) separately from the existing benefits of the card product, provided that the monthly spending requirement of the BC credit card with the loaded benefits (ranging from 300,000 to 1,200,000 KRW with different discount limits per tier) is met.
BC Card plans to initially apply the My Select platform to the two mobile-only credit card products 'Be Digital,' launched on the same day, and gradually expand its applicability to other BC credit card products.
The Be Digital card is a mobile-only credit card that can be issued through the Paybook app without a physical card. Targeting digitally savvy customers in their 20s and 30s, it is composed of two types: 'BD001' and 'BD720,' considering the credit card usage tendencies of that age group.
The 'Be Digital BD001' card offers a 1,000 KRW discount every month on online mall categories regardless of the previous month's spending, with an annual fee of 1,000 KRW. The 'Be Digital BD720' card is optimized for a digital lifestyle by providing a 7% discount on online shopping categories and a 20% discount on Starbucks Siren Order.
The Be Digital card can be issued under the domestic-only (BC) or UnionPay (UPI) brand. It is registered immediately in the Paybook app upon issuance and can be used right away through various easy payment functions such as QR code, NFC, and PIN (password).
