Hyundai Motor Produces Tucson at U.S. Plant... High-Performance 'Tucson N Line' Teaser Image Released
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Motor Company has introduced the new Tucson, a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), to the North American market. Along with this, it announced that the new Tucson will be produced at both the Ulsan plant in Korea and the Alabama plant in the United States.
On the 9th (local time), Hyundai held the New Tucson Premiere event in Beverly Hills, California, USA, and stated, "The 2022 Tucson internal combustion engine models will be produced at HMMA in Alabama and the Ulsan plant."
The gasoline and hybrid models of the Tucson are scheduled to be launched in the U.S. market next spring. Additionally, a plug-in model will be added next summer.
At the same event, Hyundai also unveiled images of the high-performance 'N Line' prototype of the new Tucson.
Hyundai explained, "The Tucson N Line is a core model of Hyundai's N brand, which will expand to seven models by 2022." The Tucson N Line will feature unique equipment and color options and is planned for release in the U.S. market next spring.
Hyundai plans to introduce seven N series models including the Tucson N Line, Tucson N, Veloster N, Sonata N Line, Elantra N, Elantra N Line, and Kona N.

Olavaiji Boil, Vice President of Hyundai Motor's North American Planning Division, said, "Hyundai is doing its best to develop N models that satisfy enthusiasts," and added, "We are confident that car enthusiasts will enjoy the agility and driving performance of the new N Line models."
