The regional university remote education support centers will be utilized as hubs to manage the quality of non-face-to-face classes at universities and junior colleges within each region by establishing shared learning management systems (LMS) and joint video production studios capable of real-time video classes. They will provide remote teaching education programs to university faculty in each region and also support remote education counseling.



Professor Taeok Lee of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), who serves as the chair of the university remote education support center project management committee, said, "I hope that the regional centers will become a starting point for innovation in higher education to prepare for the future society represented by digital transformation by sharing remote teaching resources among universities and providing various opportunities to enhance faculty members' remote teaching capabilities."
