Governor Kim said on his way to work that day after the appellate court trial, "I did my best to resolve the concerns of the residents, but only half of the truth has been revealed, leaving the overall worries unresolved," and expressed, "I deeply apologize for not being able to dispel all concerns and fully focus on provincial administration for any reason."
He continued, "Through the remaining Supreme Court appeal, I promise to reveal the last half of the truth and deliver good news so that the residents will not worry," emphasizing his commitment.
He defined the case as "not a matter of sentencing but a battle between truth and falsehood, and the Supreme Court ruling is also a fight over guilt or innocence," and reiterated, "I am confident that if the remaining Supreme Court appeal proceeds, the truth of this case will be revealed."
He added, "Unlike the first and appellate trials, the appeal trial does not require attendance at court once the appeal brief is submitted," and pledged, "Since I can focus on provincial administration until the Supreme Court ruling is issued, I will carry out provincial administration without any hesitation in the future."
Regarding the schedule of the appeal trial, Governor Kim said, "Considering provincial administration and the public's curiosity, I expect the Supreme Court to reach a conclusion as soon as possible, and I will do my best to make that happen."
Immediately afterward, presiding over an executive meeting in the provincial government conference room, Governor Kim also expressed his apologies to the provincial government employees regarding the outcome of his trial.

He then introduced the fact that he did not attend the 'Green New Deal Idea Tone Contest' held in Tongyeong, saying, "The residents directly felt the problems on-site and found solutions, presenting ideas unimaginable by the administration," emphasizing, "This is how the Korean-style New Deal should proceed."
He continued, "The era when the administration provides all the answers is no longer sustainable," and added, "If the public does not come up with various ideas on their own and the public and private sectors do not cooperate to create together, the New Deal will be difficult to succeed."
Governor Kim also said, "Recently, the aftershocks of a small-scale cluster infection of COVID-19 in a family in Changwon continue," and urged, "Please do your best to prevent further spread of COVID-19 within the province."
Regarding the administrative integration of Gyeongnam and Busan proposed by Governor Kim during the promotion of the Southeast Mega City, he mentioned, "I understand that Busan City will have a budget speech for next year sometime this week," and said, "I expect a response from the acting mayor of Busan to my proposal on the necessity of administrative integration between Gyeongnam and Busan."
He then requested, "Busan and Gyeongnam should start practical discussions on how to proceed with the administrative integration, beginning with a joint working task force," and added, "Since this is an issue that requires public discussion and consensus in the local community, please also proceed with procedures to promote public debate and consensus building."
