[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) issued a congratulatory statement on November 8th for Joe Biden, who was elected as the 46th President of the United States.
On the same day, FKI stated, "We sincerely congratulate Joe Biden on his election as President of the United States," and added, "We look forward to overcoming the COVID-19 crisis together and strengthening cooperation in security and economic fields based on the solid Korea-US alliance under the new administration led by President-elect Joe Biden."
They continued, "In particular, we hope that the cooperative relationship between the two countries, which has been maintained as a strong blood alliance, will expand and develop into broader areas, enabling mutual win-win outcomes."
Furthermore, they urged, "We expect the new US President to actively play a role in enhancing the value of a multilateral international order and promoting the development of a market economy, contributing to the prosperity of not only Korea and the US but also the entire world."
