Amid growing concerns due to continuous cases of community transmission of COVID-19 with unknown infection routes nationwide, the district has decided to carry out proactive testing to protect residents and vulnerable groups susceptible to COVID-19.
In particular, approximately 550 street vendor workers located near Cheongnyangni General Market and Gyeongdong Market, the largest traditional markets in the northeastern area of Seoul, have frequent contact with unspecified many people, raising concerns about community transmission.
Accordingly, since the 5th, the district office has been promoting proactive COVID-19 testing through its official website, and district office staff have been visiting street vendors directly to actively guide merchants to get tested.
