Baemin Academy Recruiting Participants for Food Service Conference 'Jaranda Day 2020'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Baemin Academy, an educational support institution for small business owners operated by Woowa Brothers, announced on the 6th that it will hold an online conference 'Jaranda Day 2020' next month under the theme of the future of the dining industry after the COVID-19 pandemic.
'Jaranda Day' is an event hosted annually by Baemin Academy at the end of each year since 2015, serving as a graduation ceremony and dining industry conference inviting self-employed individuals who actively participated in the academy's classes throughout the year. This year, to practice social distancing due to the spread of COVID-19, the event will be held as an online conference over three days from December 7 to 9.
Under the theme "The dining industry preparing for the rapidly changing 2021 after COVID-19," Chef Lee Yeon-bok is scheduled to give a lecture at this conference. Professor Kim Nan-do of Seoul National University, who has predicted new consumer trends in Korea every year, will lecture on 'Trend Korea 2021,' which contains forecasts of domestic consumer culture trends recently published. Various industry experts such as Kim Il-do, CEO of Ildo's Family, and Professor Song Kyu-bong of Yonsei University will also share cases of overcoming COVID-19 and response strategies.

This free conference is open for anyone to apply through the Baemin Academy website. The application period is until the 1st of next month. Baek Seon-woong, head of Baemin Academy at Woowa Brothers, said, "We organized the conference to help numerous self-employed individuals who have faced difficulties in management due to the spread of COVID-19 this year prepare for the coming year."
