[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The operator of an online cafe who posted allegations of an affair involving Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae and suspicions regarding her son Seo's failure to return from leave has been handed over to the prosecution.
Seoul Seocho Police Station announced on the 5th that it sent the online cafe operator A to the prosecution on March 28 with a recommendation for indictment on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
Earlier in March, Minister Choo's side filed complaints with Seoul Gwanak Police Station against a total of 19 individuals, including YouTubers such as A, on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act. The police closed investigations on 9 cases due to inability to identify the accused, and transferred the remaining 10 cases to the relevant police stations.
