Due to social phenomena avoiding face-to-face services amid COVID-19 infection anxiety, the National Health Insurance Service Busan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (Director Jang Su-mok) held a contest to discover non-face-to-face exercise methods in daily life by shifting the paradigm of health promotion projects.
The contest was named ‘With-Corona, We-Exercise (Together Apart).’ The UCC video contest to discover daily exercises was held for one month from September 7 to October 6, and the award ceremony to evaluate the results was held on the 4th at the regional headquarters' first-floor auditorium.
‘With-Corona, We-Exercise’ carries the meaning of being physically apart but mentally together to prevent infection risks.
This project is a specialized initiative promoted by the NHIS Busan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters aimed at discovering exercise methods that anyone can perform for self-health management in daily life.
It was planned to utilize the professional capabilities of instructors from the Healthy 100-Year Exercise Class and actively discover non-face-to-face exercise methods simultaneously.
A total of 52 videos were submitted to this contest, competing in skill. After two rounds of judging involving external experts, a total of 12 winning works were selected, with three videos each in four categories (youth, middle-aged, elderly, and disabled).
The NHIS plans to widely promote the final winning works to related organizations such as schools and senior citizen associations to be used for improving public health.
