SPC Group Opens Bakery Restaurant Brand 'Passion5 Terrace'
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] SPC Group announced on the 5th that it will introduce the bakery restaurant brand ‘Fashion5 Terrace’ within the Fashion5 building operated in Hannam-dong, Seoul.
‘Fashion5’ is SPC Group’s flagship brand that showcases bakery products such as bread, cakes, and desserts, combining the company’s technology and know-how. The newly opened Fashion5 Terrace is a space that focuses more on bread, the foundation of bakery, under the slogan ‘Tracing the origin of bread, baking with passion,’ expressing relentless passion and determination toward it.
To this end, it uses ‘ancient wheat’ (primitive wheat that has not undergone breed improvement), which originated in ancient Egypt, known as the origin of bread, to visually show the process of bread making, and sells various bakery products, sandwiches, brunch, and coffee.
At the entrance to the store on the first floor of the building, accessed via a curved staircase, a ‘Stone Milling System’ (milling equipment adopting the millstone method) combining traditional milling methods and modern equipment has been introduced, allowing customers to see the process of milling ancient wheat grains into flour and bakers kneading dough and baking bread.
The space design fitting the name ‘Terrace’ was also presented. Antique objects were placed in the building’s courtyard and sunken space to create a garden with a cozy atmosphere in a ‘Modern Heritage’ style, a design trend emphasizing both contemporary sophistication and classical dignity.
The signature products of Fashion5 Terrace are breads made with ancient wheat, such as ancient wheat baguette, ancient wheat loaf, stone-milled croissant, and fig lamington, characterized by their nutty flavor and deep taste of the original ingredients. Using these, various brunch menus are also offered, including sandwiches like ‘Prosciutto & Balsamic Eggplant Baguette’ and ‘Tuna Coleslaw Lamington,’ as well as sets like ‘Free-range Egg & Sausage Set’ and ‘Roman Wheat Croque Monsieur’ set.

Meanwhile, the existing Fashion5 located on the first floor will be transformed into a space that further strengthens cakes and desserts. The iconic luxurious cake showcase of Fashion5 will be expanded, and new desserts such as Saint Honor? (a crown-shaped dessert) and Mille-feuille (a French dessert consisting of crispy baked pastry layered with cream) will be introduced. Additionally, signature products such as bottled pudding and Baumkuchen, the number one roll cake, as well as baked goods, gifts, gelato, chocolate, wine, and jam corners will be operated with greater specialization.
