Kyobo Life Insurance Launches 'Naemamssok Health Insurance' Covering Cancer to Lifestyle Diseases
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Kyobo Life Insurance launched the Kyobo Naemam Ssok Health Insurance on the 4th, which provides coverage for the three major diseases including cancer and lifestyle-related diseases at an affordable premium.
The main contract guarantees accidental death coverage up to age 100, and through 80 types of riders, various diseases can be reasonably prepared for. Customers can freely select various riders according to their age, lifestyle, and economic situation to receive specialized coverage.
Coverage includes cancer, severe diseases, mild to moderate dementia, targeted anticancer drug-approved treatments, anticancer radiation drug treatments, artificial joint replacement surgery, cast treatment, diabetes, shingles, gout, and various hospitalizations and surgeries.
In particular, subscribing to the lifestyle disease rider allows preparation for common diseases in daily life such as pneumonia, appendicitis, hypertension, diabetes, major rheumatism and heart diseases, and arteriosclerosis.
Customers can choose from the Enhanced Coverage Plan, which covers cancer treatment, hospitalization and surgery for lifestyle diseases, and diagnosis of specific diseases; the Frequent Disease (Senior) Plan, which specializes in coverage for diabetes, artificial joint replacement surgery, cast treatment, and geriatric diseases; the Three Major Diseases Plan, which focuses on cancer, ischemic heart disease, and cerebrovascular disease; and the Cancer Plan, which focuses on cancer diagnosis, hospitalization, surgery, and targeted anticancer drug-approved treatments.
Individuals aged 15 to 70 can subscribe. Additionally, customers receive the 'Kyobo Healthcare Service Basic' for 20 years, which supports health management programs by major diseases, health consultations, hospital guidance and appointment scheduling, and treatment for the three major diseases. The premium for the Enhanced Coverage Plan (29 types of riders), with an insurance amount of 10 million KRW and a 20-year payment period, is 48,758 KRW per month for a 40-year-old male and 34,212 KRW per month for a 40-year-old female.
