Lee Hye-ja, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member, Receives Youth-Friendly Legislative Award 'Policy Division Grand Prize'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Council announced on the 2nd that Assemblywoman Lee Hye-ja (Democratic Party of Korea, Muan 1) received the 'Policy Division Grand Prize' at the '3rd 2020 Youth-Friendly Legislative Awards' ceremony held at the Olympic Park Peace Plaza in Seoul on the 31st of last month.
The '2020 Youth-Friendly Legislative Awards' is a legislative award organized by the corporation registered with the National Assembly Secretariat, 'Youth and Future Corporation,' to honor the achievements and contributions of institutions that have contributed to creating a youth-friendly environment.
The Youth-Friendly Selection Committee, composed of about 100 selection committee members including university professors, CEOs, accountants, journalists, and youth selectors, conducted a review process and selected six metropolitan local governments, 21 basic local governments, and 22 metropolitan assembly members as awardees.
Assemblywoman Lee Hye-ja, as the chairperson of the Planning and Administration Committee in the first half of the 11th Jeonnam Provincial Council and a member of the Education Committee in the latter half, was highly evaluated for her active legislative activities, including proposing education-related ordinances as well as ordinances related to youth and talent development, and for carrying out various legislative activities for the residents, earning the honor of receiving the award.

Assemblywoman Lee said, “In addition to paying attention to our residents who are going through difficult times due to the recent impact of COVID-19, active measures are needed for future economic revitalization and a happy Jeonnam where youth can work and stay,” adding, “I will listen more humbly to the voices from the field to actively resolve various youth issues in Jeonnam.”
