Yeosu City to Operate 'Respiratory Dedicated Clinic' from the 2nd
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City (Mayor Kwon Oh-bong) announced on the 2nd that it will designate and operate Hanguk Hospital as a respiratory specialty clinic in preparation for the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the simultaneous spread of respiratory infections during the winter season.
According to the city, Hanguk Hospital was equipped with a respiratory specialty clinic, and 100 million KRW in national funds were provided for the purchase of necessary equipment for its operation.
To prevent infections, the movement paths of medical staff and patients are separated, and medical equipment such as mobile negative pressure devices, air conditioning facilities, and disinfection equipment are installed to exclusively treat patients with respiratory symptoms and fever.
The Hanguk Hospital respiratory specialty clinic opened on the 2nd and will operate from 9:00 AM to around 5:30 PM on weekdays, and from 8:30 AM to around 12:30 PM on Saturdays.
The respiratory clinic treats patients with respiratory illnesses such as influenza and colds, whose symptoms are difficult to distinguish from COVID-19, and who have not been able to receive timely treatment. Patients visiting the specialty clinic who have no epidemiological link to COVID-19 will receive treatment like a general hospital, and if necessary, can undergo COVID-19 testing.
