[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Seoul, attended the 2020 Nowon University Student Idea Contest held at the district office small auditorium at 3 p.m. on the 30th.
In May, the district held a contest under the theme "My Idea~! Will it Work in Nowon?" with six proposal categories: Healing City, Cultural City, Healthy Welfare City, Educational City, Transportation City, and Future City. From July 1 to August 14, after evaluation by a citizen participation panel, 10 excellent proposals were selected.
At the contest, the proposers of the adopted ideas presented their proposals directly and on-site judging was conducted.
The grand prize went to "Cheerful Medical Tourism, Refreshing Healing Nowon" (Yoon Chang-won), the gold prize to "Nowon-gu Responsible N-School for Nowon Children’s Vacation" (Park Jung-woon), the silver prize to "Nowongae: Healing in Three Years" (Hong Woo-il, Park Ji-soo), and the bronze prizes to "Street Walking with the Moon" (Kwon Hye-rin) and "Kwangwoon University Complex Station Development Plan Enjoying History and Culture Lifestyle" (Lim Hyun-chul).
The district plans to actively incorporate the winning ideas into district administration.
