Opening of 'Jiwon 1-dong Complex Community Center' in Dong-gu, Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 30th that it held the opening ceremony of the ‘Jiwon 1-dong Complex Community Center’ on the 29th.
At the event, including Dong-gu Mayor Im Taek, various internal and external guests, and residents attended together, and the program proceeded in the order of commemorative tree planting, pre-ceremony events, construction project progress report, presentation of appreciation plaques, and building tour.
Last year, Dong-gu completed the certification as the first ‘Women, Children, and Elderly Friendly City’ in the Gwangju and Jeonnam region, and invested a total of about 4.7 billion KRW to build the Jiwon 1-dong Complex Community Center to realize a Dong-gu type child-friendly city and provide convenience facilities for residents.
The Jiwon 1-dong Complex Community Center has a total area of 1,327㎡ and includes an administrative complex center on the 1st floor, a health life support center on the 2nd floor, a comprehensive childcare support center on the 3rd floor, and a multipurpose program room on the 4th floor.
Dong-gu expects that it will contribute to community development by providing a community where local residents participate together and offering high-quality infant and toddler care services.
