Cho Hae-jin of the People Power Party positively evaluated the so-called 'Yoon Seok-yeol Great Ambition Theory' that emerged during the National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee's inspection of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office held on the 22nd, saying, "Isn't there a catfish effect?"
Rep. Cho said on TBS Radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' that "Many people view the activities of opposition candidates as somewhat lackluster, but if a catfish comes in and stirs things up, it will have a mutual stimulating effect and help activate the scene."
He added, "From the perspective of the broad opposition camp, having even one more potential presidential candidate with opposition tendencies, and that candidate gaining even a few percentage points more in support, whether it is Ahn Cheol-soo, Yoo Seung-min, or anyone else, is helpful rather than detrimental."
He continued, "If it takes away support from existing potential candidates within the party, it becomes a zero-sum game and is meaningless, but so far, it seems that a separate group of Yoon Seok-yeol enthusiasts has emerged."
Regarding this Supreme Prosecutors' Office inspection, he said, "It was an inspection where Prosecutor General Yoon spoke with determination. Previously, Minister Chu Mi-ae attacked Prosecutor General Yoon almost daily, and the government and ruling party also joined forces to corner him, reducing him to a mere figurehead for a long time. However, despite being attacked unilaterally and unable to speak out, he was suffering inside, but during the inspection, he spoke out decisively and said everything he wanted to say."

Rep. Cho expressed opposition to Independent Rep. Hong Joon-pyo's claim that "he should resign quickly and come out" regarding Prosecutor General Yoon's possible entry into politics. Rep. Cho said, "The Prosecutor General should complete his term and perform his duties strictly without getting involved in political controversies until then, which is desirable from a national and constitutional perspective. The presidential election is a game where no one knows who will emerge until the candidate is decided. I think it is right to be prepared with the thought that a dark horse who can stir up the scene may suddenly appear."
