KAMCO Donates Funds to Support 'Digital Study Rooms' for Low-Income Families
A Total of 150 Million KRW Delivered to Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KAMCO (Korea Asset Management Corporation) on the 27th delivered a total donation of 150 million KRW to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education (Busanjin-gu, Busan), attended by Moon Sung-yu, President of KAMCO, and Kim Seok-jun, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, for the creation of 'Digital Study Rooms' and more.
With this donation, support will be provided to low-income families in the Busan area affected by prolonged online classes by creating digital study rooms and renovating housing, enabling local children and adolescents to receive online learning more effectively in a comfortable environment.
KAMCO received support applications through the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education for two weeks until the 22nd and selected about 30 beneficiary families after comprehensively considering their economic situations.
For the selected families, basic residential environment improvements such as wallpapering, flooring, and lighting replacement will be completed by the end of November, and online learning equipment such as desks, chairs, and computers will also be provided. KAMCO employees will also participate in setting up the study rooms, including PC installation.
