Ewha Womans University Ranks 3rd Nationwide in Cumulative Number of New Law School Judges
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Ewha Womans University Law School announced on the 23rd that it ranked 3rd domestically in cumulative number of new judges graduated from law schools this year.
The Supreme Court appointed 155 new judges with legal experience such as prosecutors and lawyers on the 20th, among whom 4 were graduates of Ewha Womans University Law School. The top university for producing new judges from law schools was Seoul National University, followed by Sungkyunkwan University in 2nd place, and Pusan National University in 3rd place.
Since the first appointment of judges from Ewha Womans University Law School in 2015, a total of 17 judges have been produced to date, ranking third nationwide among 25 law schools after Seoul National University (29 judges) and Sungkyunkwan University (20 judges). In terms of cumulative number relative to admission quota, Ewha ranked 2nd domestically after Seoul National University.
