[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 23rd that, after discussions with related ministries, it submitted a letter of intent to relocate its headquarters to Sejong City to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 16th.
Regarding the relocation to Sejong, the Ministry stated that it aims to strengthen communication and collaboration with related ministries as the control tower for policies concerning SMEs, startups, and small business owners, and to effectively respond to the increasing policy demands of SMEs, startups, and small business owners due to changes in the domestic and international policy environment such as the ministry's elevation (July 2017) and COVID-19.
