Jeonnam Province to Hold 'Culture Day' Events Starting from the 23rd
Weekly Once in 7 Cities and Counties... Real-Time Online and Offline Broadcast
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province will resume the ‘Culture Day’ event, which was suspended due to COVID-19, starting from the 23rd to welcome the autumn season.
According to Jeonnam Province on the 22nd, the event will be held in seven cities and counties within the province that have suffered damage from heavy rains or have limited opportunities to experience culture.
It will open under the theme ‘Ontact Culture Therapy, Hope Jeonnam Seven-Colored Stage’.
This event is being promoted through a collaboration between the province, Jeonnam Cultural Foundation, Tourism Foundation, and the Jeonnam branch of the Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations.
As cultural and artistic performances and exhibitions were suspended due to COVID-19, this event was prepared to comfort residents thirsty for cultural enjoyment and those affected by flood damage, as well as to support local artists who have faced livelihood difficulties.
The performances will be broadcast live in real-time both online and offline, including a ‘drive-in’ method where audiences can watch the performance directly from their cars, and an ontact method through the province’s official YouTube channel ‘Euddeum Jeonnam Tube’. An event will also be held where participants in the broadcast will receive a 20,000 KRW gift certificate for Namdo Market.
The performances will begin on the 23rd with the ‘Dduiddui Bbangbbang Drive-in Carformance’ at the parking lot of Shinan Beach Hotel in Mokpo, and will be held at least once a week thereafter.
Following this, on the 28th at Hampyeong Expo Park and on the 30th at Gokseong Train Village, melodies full of autumn fragrance and hope will be presented.
Next month, performances will be held under the theme ‘Autumn Light Filled with Five-Colored Hyangrak’ at Seosicheon in Gurye and Dawon in Boseong, and unique performances blending the beautiful scenery of old houses with jazz and classical music will be held at Nokudang in Haenam and Sikyeongjeong in Damyang.
