[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT and Woori Financial Group joined hands on the 22nd to foster artificial intelligence (AI) talent.

The two companies will conduct the 'KT x Woori Financial Group AI·Data Analysis Course' twice in October and November for key personnel of Woori Financial Group, including Woori Bank and Woori Card, to nurture AI talent. This program is a customized course for Woori Financial Group within KT's AI future talent development project, designed based on KT's experience and know-how.

The KT x Woori Financial Group AI·Data Analysis Course runs for a total of three weeks. For the first two weeks, participants learn the basic concepts and principles of AI and data analysis through a self-learning package developed by KT, followed by a three-day workshop at the KT AI Education Center, where they engage in practical exercises and identify AI projects. The practical training using the AI analysis platform is developed to allow participants to experience the entire AI·data analysis process?from data analysis to AI modeling?based on vivid cases suited to the corporate field, using actual tasks and datasets applied in KT's work.

After theoretical lectures and practical training, the course uses KT's representative innovation program, the 'First-Class Workshop' method, to discover 'our own AI projects' applicable to Woori Financial Group's operations. The ideas derived through this process will be collaborated on by AI·data experts from KT and Woori Financial Group to be concretized into AI projects. KT plans to further strengthen talent development cooperation with Woori Financial Group through the implementation of this KT x Woori Financial Group AI·Data Analysis Course. Additionally, KT intends to continuously develop the AI·data analysis course and, in the long term, open it to all industries requiring AI talent development to promote the expansion of AI-based capabilities in Korea.
