On the 24th, the '2nd Seongdong Daily Life Close-to-You Day' held at Salgot Sports Park... Repair services such as knife sharpening and umbrella repair, and 13 daily life close-to-you service experiences in 5 categories including experience booths
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) will hold the "2nd Seongdong Life-Closely Day" event on the 24th at Salgoti Sports Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"Seongdong Life-Closely Day" is a communication venue for residents to share and empathize with the achievements of resident life-closely projects that the district has promoted so far. The district's 13 representative life-closely projects are categorized into five sections: ▲Repair Yard ▲Life Yard ▲Market Yard ▲Smart Inclusive Welfare Expo Yard ▲Event Yard, allowing visitors to see and experience them all in one place.
Last year's most popular "Repair Yard" features booths where visitors can repair everyday essential items such as knife sharpening, umbrella repair, and bicycle repair all in one place. The "Life Yard" offers hands-on activities such as repotting air-purifying plants, making leather pouches for mask storage, and creating flower and tree plaster air fresheners.
At the "Market Yard," the "Family Love Flea Market," where people can enjoy buying and selling secondhand goods, will be operated. Additionally, the Wangsimni Doseon-dong Residents' Autonomous Committee will sell soy sauce, and the Yongdap-dong Residents' Autonomous Committee will offer woodworking craft experiences. The "Smart Inclusive Welfare Expo Yard" will share the vision of Seongdong-gu as a smart inclusive city under the 7th elected administration, featuring promotional booths for related projects and urban regeneration programs. The "Event Yard" will host time-based prize events and a COVID-19 overcoming photo zone.
A district official stated, "This event is a community-wide event involving not only the district but also the Seongdong-gu Volunteer Center and the Seongdong-gu Apartment Community Revitalization Federation. It aims to reconfirm residents' demand for various life-closely administrative services proactively implemented by the district and to provide a venue for resident empathy and communication, which had inevitably been restricted due to COVID-19."
The event will be conducted under social distancing guidelines with a "pre-reservation system." It will operate six sessions per hour, keeping the total number of attendees inside the venue under 100, and will ensure thorough safety measures such as mandatory mask-wearing and installation of partitions for safe event management.

Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, "We hope this event will provide an opportunity for residents who have found it difficult to actively use various life-closely services due to the spread of COVID-19 to experience these services and become a harmonious gathering of resident communication and enjoyment with various attractions and activities."
