Yeosu City Council 'Enactment of the Yeosun Incident Special Act'... Morning Commute Campaign
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Yeosu City Council (Chairman Jeon Chang-gon) has launched a campaign to raise public interest in the enactment of the Yeosun Incident Special Act.
According to the city council, members of the Yeosun Incident Special Committee held a campaign at Yeoseo-dong Rotary during the morning rush hour the day before, urging the enactment of the special law.
The committee members held placards with phrases such as "Urge the enactment of the special law," "Clarify the facts of the incident," and "Restore the honor of the victims," attracting the attention of commuters.
Earlier, on the morning of the 19th, a campaign was held at Ssangbong Intersection, and in the afternoon at Jinnam Cultural Center, where the movie "Dongbaek" was premiered.
The Yeosun Incident Special Committee consists of seven members: Min Deok-hee, Lee Mi-kyung, Lee Seon-hyo, Baek In-sook, Go Hee-kwon, Joo Jong-seop, and Kang Hyun-tae, and will operate until October 24 of next year.
Min Deok-hee, chairperson of the Yeosun Incident Special Committee, stated, "Above all, public interest is necessary for the enactment of the special law," adding, "We will carry out public awareness activities and visit the National Assembly to urge the enactment of the special law."
