Inha University Selected as Implementing Agency for Materials and Components Technology Development Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Inha University Graduate School of Manufacturing Innovation has been selected as the executing institution for the "Development of Casting and Rolling Technology Support Platform" project under the 2020 Materials and Components Technology Development Project organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
This project is a company-oriented technology support initiative that utilizes the innovation capabilities of universities to solve technical problems faced by materials and components companies.
Along with Inha University's Graduate School of Manufacturing Innovation, seven institutions including the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology are participating, receiving approximately 3.8 billion KRW in funding over 29 months to develop materials and components suitable for the high-voltage electrification of electric vehicles.
Inha University will receive 750 million KRW in government grants to develop an industry-academia cooperation technology support platform in the casting and rolling fields.
The Graduate School of Manufacturing Innovation plans to open an online technology support site based on corporate demand to support technical difficulties in the materials and components industry field, and systematically provide technology support (more than 60 cases over 3 years) by categorizing requests received through the site into short-term, mid-term, and long-term based on technical difficulty.
Additionally, a "Inha Technology Cooperation Membership" will be formed for companies receiving technology support, establishing an organic industry-academia cooperation network through technology development research groups linked with Inha University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, operation of non-face-to-face education programs, and hosting materials and components technology cooperation forums.
