iPhone 12 Battery Capacity Decreased by 9%... Mini is 21% Smaller
iPhone 12 Battery 2815mAh, 295mAh Less Than Previous Model
iPhone 12 Mini Battery Reduced to 2227mAh Along with Size
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The battery capacity of the iPhone 12 has decreased compared to its predecessor.
According to Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency ANATEL on the 21st, the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 is 2815mAh, smaller than the iPhone 11's 3110mAh. Apple introduced that "the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini have no differences except for size and price," but the reality was different.
The battery capacity of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, which will be released next month, is 2227mAh. Its usage time is 2 hours shorter than the iPhone 12, and the battery capacity differs by 21%. As the device size decreases, the battery capacity also differs from the iPhone 12. Apple stated that the iPhone 12 Mini battery lasts 15 hours during regular video playback and 10 hours during streaming video playback.
The battery capacities of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have not been disclosed, but it is highly likely that the capacity has decreased compared to their predecessors. The iPhone 11 Pro had a 3046mAh battery, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max had a 3969mAh battery. Comparing on Apple's website, the video playback time of the iPhone 12 Pro is 1 hour shorter than that of the iPhone 11 Pro (16 hours).
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro can play videos for up to 17 hours, and streaming videos can be played for 11 hours. The iPhone 12 Pro Max can play videos for up to 20 hours and streaming videos for up to 12 hours.
Battery certification information leaked before the iPhone 12 release indicated a capacity of 2775mAh for the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, but this does not match ANATEL's battery certification information for the iPhone 12.
