Gwangju University Develops 'Teaching Methods' to Enhance Students' Core Competencies
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyukjong) has embarked on developing teaching methods to enhance the core competencies of its enrolled students.
The Liberal Education Institute of Gwangju University announced on the 20th that, as part of the University Innovation Support Project, it conducted a total of two workshops aimed at improving teaching methods to enhance communication and collaboration, self-directed learning, problem-solving, and creative expression skills.
In particular, Gwangju University plans to accelerate the development of teaching methods for liberal arts courses based on core competencies through this workshop, which was conducted with a special lecture by Professor Oh Seonah, Director of the Teaching and Learning Support Center.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Institute for Educational Innovation Research, various opinions were shared on developing teaching methods to enhance learners' core competencies in non-face-to-face classes, including learner-centered online class design methods and the application of discussion and project-based classes.
