Priority Support for Low-Income Families This Year Due to COVID-19

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Kia Motors announced on the 20th that it has supported repair costs of 700 million KRW over six years through the old vehicle maintenance support project for social welfare centers, ‘K-Mobility Care.’
On the 19th, Kia held the 2020 project results briefing for K-Mobility Care at the Kia Customer Service Division building in Guro-gu, Seoul. Since 2015, Kia has been steadily carrying out the K-Mobility Care project in collaboration with the Community Chest of Korea and the Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers, resulting in support for the repair of old vehicles at 428 social welfare centers nationwide up to this year.
Especially this year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the priority support targets were selected not only for social welfare centers but also for low-income families struggling to make a living, providing support for a total of 77 vehicles. Accordingly, Kia has supported repair costs for a cumulative total of 490 old vehicles amounting to 700 million KRW over the past six years.
In addition, Kia operates a system where all social welfare center vehicles nationwide receive vehicle maintenance at designated Auto Q service centers and get a 20% discount on maintenance labor costs once a year.
