On the 19th, Gwangsan Fire Station announced that it requests active participation in securing fire truck exclusive zones within apartment complexes for rapid rescue and smooth firefighting activities in case of disasters.
According to Article 21-2 (Fire Truck Exclusive Zones, etc.) of the Fire Services Act, revised and enforced from August 10, 2018, it is mandatory to install at least one fire truck exclusive zone on the front or rear side of each building in apartments with 100 or more households and dormitories with three or more floors.
If a vehicle is parked, objects are stored, or surface markings are erased or damaged within the fire truck exclusive zone, a fine of 500,000 KRW will be imposed for the first offense and 1,000,000 KRW for repeated offenses.
