18 People Including 1 Gangnam Resident at Sinsa-dong CJ Telenix Test Positive for COVID-19
84 People Tested Negative, 1 Person Awaiting Test Results
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 17th, 2 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Gangnam-gu, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 288.
A resident of Segok-dong, an employee of ‘CJ Telenix’ located in Sinsa-dong where a cluster infection occurred, tested positive at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center.
Additionally, a resident of Gaepo-dong, after contact with a confirmed case from another area and experiencing coughing symptoms, was confirmed positive at the Seocho-gu Public Health Center and transferred to the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center.
Meanwhile, regarding ‘CJ Telenix’ (45 Apgujeong-ro 30-gil), as of the afternoon of the 17th, among 103 employees working on the same floor as the first confirmed case from another region on the 15th, a total of 18 people, including 1 Gangnam resident, tested positive, 84 tested negative, and 1 person is awaiting test results.
Gangnam-gu is conducting a detailed epidemiological investigation jointly with Seoul City to identify additional contacts.
