On October 14, Dong-Eui University Museum conducted an experiential program for students of Yongho Middle School in Nam-gu, Busan, as part of the creative experience program 'The World of Humanities in the Museum,' where students made rubbings of Baekje patterned bricks and created seal stamps.
The museum has been selected for the '2020 Museum Humanities on the Road Project,' hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korean Museum Association, for eight consecutive years.
In the first semester, due to COVID-19, experiential activities were conducted in July and August for 151 students from four schools, including Gyeongnam Middle School.
This event was held for the first time in the second semester as social distancing was eased to Level 1. On October 20, an experiential program will be operated for 37 students from Yangdong Girls' Middle School.
Dong-Eui University operates the museum education program linked with the school curriculum to support students' career development. Additionally, it plans to activate the museum's social education function to foster the humanities creativity and literacy of elementary and middle school students in Busan city.
Dong-Eui University Museum was re-certified as an 'Education Donation Career Experience Certified Institution' with the 'The World of Humanities in the Museum' program, hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry this year.
