Court to Hold Lottery for Audience Seats in Lee Jae-yong's 'Illegal Succession of Management Rights' Trial
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] The court has decided to distribute the audience tickets for the first trial concerning the illegal succession of management rights involving Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong through a lottery.
On the 16th, the Seoul Central District Court announced that it will hold a lottery for audience tickets for the first preparatory hearing of Vice Chairman Lee's case on the 21st at the Cheongsim Hall on the first floor of the courthouse.
The court explained, "In order to provide equal opportunities for the public to attend a case of high social interest, we decided to accept applications from those wishing to attend in advance and then conduct a lottery."

Meanwhile, those who wish to attend must bring their ID in person to participate in the application. Applications will be accepted from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and the lottery will begin at 3:10 PM. Audience tickets will be distributed only to the winners outside the west wing entrance of the courthouse starting at 1:30 PM on the 22nd, when the trial will be held.
