Free Influenza Vaccination for Seniors Aged 70 and Over Starting from the 19th
Ages 62 to 69 Start from the 26th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency announced on the 16th that it will begin the national influenza vaccination support program for the elderly for the 2020-2021 season starting from the 19th.
To prevent overcrowding in the early stages of the vaccination campaign, the age groups have been divided so that those aged 70 and above can receive the vaccine from the 19th, and those aged 62 to 69 can receive it from the 26th.
Designated medical institutions can be checked through the 'Vaccination Helper website' or the Vaccination Helper mobile application (app). When visiting the vaccination site, an ID must be brought to verify eligibility for free vaccination.
After reviewing the supply status of influenza vaccines for those aged 62, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency reported that the total distribution volume is 28.98 million doses, an increase of 5.07 million doses compared to last year (23.91 million doses).
